About The Book
The book is a unique collection of poems, essays and other writings generated by the young author at various points of time over the course of last one year. In order to explore various themes in the poems and essays, the dynamics of modern life from diverse perspectives have been looked into. In a content as diverse as this, the writings may apparently seem to contain random thoughts, but they form a coherent whole of the author’s thought process—the world as she sees it today.
In her encounters with writing, the author has taken the road less travelled, because it is often feasible and even desirable to have a different way of looking at things—a contrarian view—to have a holistic assessment and perspective.
The book starts with five poems expressing feelings on adolescent love, childhood and nature. The poems are forthright and highly readable. Then there are ten write-ups containing observations of small things that happen ordinarily but give a strong message if one is willing to think carefully and deeply about them. These essays make an interesting reading.
The book is written in simple language and lucid style. It will appeal to a wide cross-section of people.
