About The Author

Parvesh Handa is a renowned ISO 9001:2008 certified cosmetologist. She is a regular columnist on health, beauty, body, fashion, yoga and naturopathy in many national newspapers and leading magazines. She was editor of a lifestyle magazine published from New Delhi for several years and has worked with one of the leading cosmetics manufacturing company as a senior consultant. She has to her credit the first book on herbal beauty published in India in 1982. Her name has been certified in Limca Book of national records in 2009 for her achievement of authoring books on beauty and body.
Ms. Handa is an internationally known figure in the field of indigenous cosmetics made with herbs and roots. She has authored about 40 books on various women subjects—beauty, culture, fashion and modeling, women’s health, slimming, naturopathy and yoga including two encyclopedias on beauty and health.
A qualified journalist and a yoga teacher, Parvesh Handa has been associated with leading national dailies for years as news/ feature correspondent and has authored six books on yoga—the first book was published in 1983 by a reputed publishing house. She is presently running her own cosmetic manufacturing unit.
