This book has been written to try and minimize the incidence of broken homes and also to encourage the youth to marry at the right age and not to be afraid of this age-old tradition of marriage. It elaborates the effects of a broken home on the individuals, on the children, on the family and on the society at large. The good and bad points about marriage are explained and the different types of marriages are discussed. The drawback of late marriage is discussed and methods of handling a difficult spouse are disclosed.
The book mentions the changes the marriage system has gone through in the last 50 years and the effect it has had on the life of people. Questions like, “Who is bearing the brunt of the change and has it been worth all the trouble?”, and “Why one should get married and how to make the right choice?” are dealt with.

About The Author

Dr. Sushil K. Jaiswal, M.B.B.S., F.A.O.S. (USA), F.C.I.P., F.C.G.P., M.R.S.H., F.R.S.H. (London), is a senior Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon from Ambala. He is MBBS from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, and has Post Graduate Training in Ear, Nose and Throat from King George Medical College, Lucknow. He did his Fellowships from Chicago University in U.S.A. and from London. He worked in City Philadelphia Hospital as ENT specialist and was consultant to Frances Newton Hospital, Ferozepur, Mission Hospital Jagadhri, and Guru Nanak Mission Hospital, Ambala and several others.
Dr. Jaiswal started his own nursing home in Ambala in 1970. He was the first person to start a private hospital in Ambala. He takes a lot of interest in professional and social service and has held important posts in Indian Medical Association, Lions Club International, Grand Lodge of India, World Conference of Religions for Peace, and many other Educational and Cultural Societies. He has many awards and certificates to his credit from various professional and service organizations. He is devoted to the Spiritual University of Brahma Kumaris and takes keen interest in their activities.
Dr. Jaiswal has published three books, Good Manners: A Road to Success; Adolescence—A Boon or Bane; and Life After Sixty: Secrets of Remaining Young.
